Brittany McMahon Craig
Event Designer & Coordinator
As a little girl, Brittany observed many grand parties and festive celebrations from the banister of her parent’s home. Festive parties and large family gatherings were memorable part of her childhood. So it is only natural that her creativity and edge for celebration derives from her upbringing.
Brittany’s career in the special events business began while studying as a fibers artist at Saint Mary’s College, Notre Dame, Indiana. In addition to creating her own designs on fabrics and handmade papers, Brittany assisted a well-known Wedding Coordinator, Cynthia Basker of Celebrated Events, South Bend. There she learned the expertise, hard work and determination of party planning and facilitation.
Brittany started her company, Crowning Celebrations, with the drive for creativity and project management. She began planning friend’s weddings, while also working as a corporate event planner for a private association and marketing firm.
In January of 2011, Crowning Celebrations celebrates its 10th Anniversary! Over the past ten years, Brittany has studied the trends and even set some of her own. She continues to plan a limited amount of events each year, thus allowing her designs to be tailored to her client’s style and originality. Brittany prides herself on giving her clients completely personal party planning expertise to make the experience memorable and the planning fun.
In addition to participating in a variety of event organizations, associations and charities, Brittany writes the Eventista column for the Toledo Free Press. Furthermore she also teaches the art and facilitation of being a wedding planner for the Event Planning & Tourism program at the University of Toledo’s College of Health Science & Human Services.
